My name is Imbenzi George, and I am excited to present myself as a candidate for the Board of Directors and Global Delegation within AICSES. With over two decades of experience in public policy administration, international relations, and leadership, I am well-prepared to contribute to our shared mission. I hold a Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration, a Master of Laws (LLM) specializing in Conflict, Security, and Human Rights, as well as a Master of Arts in Leadership/Business. Additionally, I have earned an Executive Leadership Certification from Harvard Kennedy School, which has sharpened my skills in leadership and policy development.
My role as Director of International Engagement at Trinity Western University has equipped me to foster meaningful global partnerships, particularly in parliamentary governance across Africa and Asia. I have successfully developed and taught graduate-level courses, mentoring students from diverse backgrounds, and integrating Indigenous and non-Western perspectives into the curriculum. Furthermore, my expertise as a Birkman assessment specialist allows me to understand and enhance team dynamics effectively.
I am passionate about promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity in all my endeavors. I believe that my unique combination of academic credentials, professional experience, and commitment to fostering inclusive environments makes me an ideal candidate for the AICSES Board. I am eager to collaborate with all members to drive impactful initiatives that align with our core objectives.
