Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a media lawyer licensed in Canada and the United States with a strong passion for human rights. I have over 15 years experience working in law, business, communications, and strategy on behalf of a national public broadcaster, a global tech company, and a major law firm. Given that the world is currently at an unsettled state, Amnesty Canada International’s role has become increasingly important in researching and taking action in preventing and abolishing human rights violations. I believe strongly that such important work cannot be suppressed and I will fight vigorously to ensure Amnesty’s work is protected and promoted.
