“I am an activist with deep experience change policy and legislation to stop and uphold human rights violations, working for over 3 decades with non-profits and within the labour movement.
I also have significant Board governance experience. I have served on boards and supported boards for over 10 years. I have been chair of a governance committee for the board of directors of an environmental organization for two terms. I have certified as a Canadian Association Executive (CAE) which provides extensive governance training, and have been a member of the Non-Profit Leadership Lab.
I am committed to fostering a feminist, AR/AO approach which has been deepened through my support of the equity and Indigenous committees of my association, where I have worked alongside members to develop policies and practices.
Born in Montreal, and raised in Edmonton, I have lived in Ottawa, mostly, since completing a Masters in International Affairs from Carleton University.”
