THE TRAGIC STORY BEHIND OUR CELL PHONES AND LAPTOPS

SCREEN THIS POWERFUL FILM TO RAISE AWARENESS IN YOUR COMMUNITY

How are we, as consumers, connected to bloody conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)?

The DRC is rich in diamonds and gold, as well as cobalt, coltan and other minerals that are used to make mobile phones and other electronic gadgets for consumers around the world. Unfortunately for the people of the DRC, the country’s resource wealth has rarely been harnessed for their benefit; on the contrary, the riches fuel a deadly conflict that has cost millions of lives.

The film “When Elephants Fight” is an eye opening documentary that spotlights the story that multinational electronics companies don’t want you to hear.
