Join the Write for Rights Student Challenge

Are you ready to take your activism to the next level and make an unforgettable impact on human rights? Prepare to rally your friends to write letters, sign petitions, and get creative! Join students around the globe in the world’s largest human rights campaign. The Write for Rights Student Challenge is your opportunity to make the world a better place in a fun and meaningful way. Plus, you could win $200 for your school to support future social justice events and activities!

Amnesty International Canada invites students at schools nationwide to compete in four exciting categories to showcase your passion, creativity, and commitment to human rights.

Student Challenge Award Categories

1. Highest Number of Letters

This is your chance to prove that every letter counts.  Rally your school and community to see how many messages you can write. The higher the number, the louder our collective voice grows and the more pressure we put on authorities to act.

Submit a count of your total letters sent with photos or videos of your event in action for bonus points!

2. Most Creative Solidarity Piece

Get your artistic juices flowing to support the Wet’suwet’en Nation! Whether it’s a painting or mural, spoken-word performance, or eye-catching digital design, your solidarity piece will send a strong message of support.

Share photos or videos of your creative masterpiece and briefly explain your inspiration and message.

3. Most Petition Signatures

Mobilize members of your local community and see how many signatures you can gather on the paper petitions. Every name added strengthens the call for justice. Can you set a new record?

Submit your total signature count and scanned copies of petitions or screenshots of your online campaign metrics.

4. Best TikTok Engagement

Submit links to your TikTok videos and screenshots showing your engagement stats.
