My Amnesty Story: Telling the Story of Change

As an Amnesty International supporter, every action you take contributes to our human rights work. From writing letters, to joining a local group, to participating in a rally, your work is vital to making the change we want in the world. Our supporters around the world, raising their voices in a cry for justice, make Amnesty International effective.

Now we want to hear your story!

We want to hear your Amnesty story, whether you`re a long-time supporter, a donor, or a first-time activist.

What brought you to Amnesty International? What inspires you to stay involved?

We`ve seen time and again the difference Amnesty supporters can make and each and every one has a story to tell.

Share your story with us and we will feature it on our website and social media to inspire others to take action with Amnesty International.

Here are 3 ways you can share your story:

1. Share on social media

Take a photo of yourself or something representative of your involvement with Amnesty International. Post it on social media with a caption describing what motivates you to take action for human rights.

Be sure to tag Amnesty International on Facebook (@amnestycanada), Instagram (@amnestycanada), or Twitter (@AmnestyNow).

2. Write it down

Write out your Amnesty story and email it to us, even if it`s only a few lines. Be sure to let us know where you are writing from and try to include a photo of yourself.

Send your story to amorgan-welden@amnesty.ca.

3. Take a video

Feeling creative? Take a video of yourself sharing your Amnesty story or make a video showing an action that is representative of your involvement with Amnesty.

Thank you for everything you do for human rights!
